Swimwear washing guide
by Portia1924

Swimwear has to endure a lot of external stresses from sun, sand, salty baths and more. Here are a few of our best tips on how to make them last over the seasons.

1. Always check the care label

Always check the care label on your swim shorts to see if there are any specific washing instructions. Some materials may require special care, such as hand washing or a gentle cycle.

2. Rinse immediately after use

After swimming, rinse your swim shorts in cool water to remove any salt or sand  that may be on them. This will help prevent any damage or discoloration to the fabric.

3. Wash in cool water

When it comes time to wash your swim shorts, use cool water and a mild detergent. Avoid using bleach or fabric softeners, as they can damage the material and cause fading.

4. Use a gentle cycle

If your washing machine has a delicate or gentle cycle, use that to wash your swim shorts. This will help prevent any stretching, tearing, or snagging of the fabric.

5. Air dry

To dry your swim shorts, lay them flat or hang them up to air dry. Avoid using a dryer, as the heat can damage the material and cause shrinkage.

By following these guidelines, you can help ensure that your swim shorts stay looking great for many swims to come.
